Part of the Daily Progression Series:

Quick Answer

Chief Stamina and Squad Stamina are separate. Wilderness PvE actions generally draw from Chief Stamina; Explorer Trail uses Squad Stamina. An item labelled Small Squad Stamina will not refill the Chief bar, even though both items look like energy supplies.

Check the bar, the refill item's full name and the action's preview before using anything. For eligible hunts, put Travis in the selected lineup and confirm the reduced cost before dispatching.

Which Stamina Do You Need?

What you are doing Budget to inspect Common confusion
Attacking Infected in the Wilderness Chief Stamina Using a Squad refill changes the wrong bar
Joining an eligible Infected rally Chief Stamina The rally leader's Travis is not a substitute for checking your own joining cost
Intel activity Read the mission's displayed cost Not every mission should be assumed to have an identical price
Explorer Trail Squad Stamina Its separate regeneration is mistaken for Chief regeneration
A seasonal minigame The event's own entry item or energy A Chief refill may have no effect on the event

The documented small refill items add 10 points to their named bar. Read the quantity carefully: ten small items can mean 100 stamina, not a single ten-point refill.

Regeneration and the Cap

The established base Chief regeneration rate is one point every five minutes. That is 12 points per hour, or a theoretical 288 across 24 hours if regeneration runs continuously. It is not a claim that you can collect 288 points while remaining full.

Explorer Trail's documented Squad rate is six points per hour, with a normal cap of 100 in that format. Bonuses and different interfaces should be checked on the relevant bar's own timer.

If a Chief bar needs 40 points and regenerates one every five minutes, the wait is 200 minutes: three hours and 20 minutes. Use the actual missing amount and timer when deciding whether to wait or open a refill.

Spending some naturally regenerated stamina before a long break lets the bar refill while you are away. Opening a large pile of items immediately before logging out can remove that room. Claims that put a bar over its normal cap do not prove that natural regeneration continues above the cap.

Where Refills Come From

Check Final Hope supplies, eligible event rewards and your Backpack. Some state formats deliver Final Hope stamina directly to the bars; others provide items to open later. That difference explains why one player sees their balance rise immediately while another sees new packs in inventory.

The Travis event can award Hunting Rucksacks containing stamina among their possible rewards. A chance of a stamina item in a rucksack is not the same as recovering that percentage of all stamina spent hunting. You need the rucksack drop frequency, item amount and attack cost to calculate a return.

Biocap refills and paid Daily Drop offers are additional options, not requirements for the routine. Inspect their current contents and limits before comparing them with another purchase.

How Travis Changes the Budget

Travis's documented stamina reductions reach 20%, but a newly recruited version may show less. Historical player reports disagree about the exact rank breakpoint across states. Use the benefit and dispatch cost displayed on your own account.

For an eligible action costing 25 stamina, a 20% reduction makes the cost 20. With a 100-stamina budget, that is five actions instead of four. The saving is 20% per action; the number of affordable actions rises by 25% in this particular example.

For another example, a 10-stamina action reduced to 8 costs 80 across ten attempts. Check that the same action still wins reliably: a cheaper march that fails is not an efficient collection plan.

The Travis hero guide separates the stamina benefit from his combat skills and explains how to obtain his named fragments.

Allocate Stamina Before Refilling

Use three lines for the next login window:

  1. Committed tasks: expiring Intel with useful rewards, alliance activities you agreed to join, or a live event threshold you can finish.
  2. Ordinary hunting: attacks worth doing with the remaining natural regeneration.
  3. Optional extras: additional attempts funded by Backpack refills or Biocaps.

Suppose you have 70 Chief Stamina and three useful Intel actions each display a cost of 10. Reserve 30 for them. The remaining 40 funds two 20-stamina rally joins, or a different combination shown by your previews. Adding another rally first would force a refill or leave one Intel unfinished.

During Hunting the Hunter, weigh the temporary rucksack opportunity against Intel expiry. Stored hunting logs can be used later in the documented format; that creates a reason to separate collecting logs from spending stamina on their rallies.

When a Refill Appears Not to Work

Symptom First check What to do
Chief bar unchanged Item says Squad Stamina Open the correct inventory item
Supply claimed but neither bar changed Reward arrived as items Inspect Backpack and the claim contents
Travis gives no expected saving Selected march and eligible activity Remove/reselect him and compare the preview before spending
Regeneration appears stopped Bar is at or above its normal cap Spend on a useful action, then check the timer
Seasonal mode still cannot start Event entry requirement Use the mode's named ticket or energy

F2P and Spender Tips

F2P: use free claims and regeneration first, preserving packs for a live reward you can actually reach. Keep your Biocap plan intact when deciding whether another refill is worthwhile.

Spenders: compare the extra reward from the next refill with its price. A paid stamina supply still needs time and eligible activities to turn it into useful progress.

Common Mistakes

  • Opening the wrong type of stamina item.
  • Calling theoretical regeneration guaranteed daily income.
  • Assuming every newly located Travis has the maximum reduction.
  • Spending the entire bar before reserving expiring Intel.
  • Treating a random rucksack reward as a guaranteed stamina refund.

FAQ

Why did Small Squad Stamina not refill my Chief? It replenishes the separate Explorer Trail bar. Use a Chief Stamina item for the Chief bar.

Does Travis have to be selected? For the march-based saving, include him in your own eligible lineup and confirm the displayed cost. Owning him alone is not a dispatch check.

Should I use all my stamina packs during the Travis event? Only after reserving other worthwhile activities and choosing a hunting budget. Rucksack returns are variable.

Is 288 Chief Stamina per day guaranteed? No. It is the arithmetic maximum at the base five-minute rate with uninterrupted regeneration; time spent capped reduces it.

Key Takeaways

  • Match the refill item to the correct stamina bar.
  • Confirm Travis's actual saving in the selected lineup.
  • Reserve the next useful tasks before funding optional hunts.
