Part of the Alliance Series:

Quick Answer

Your alliance needs a valid territory connection to contest an Analysis Center and receive its applicable benefits. Before extending a tower chain, check whether the target adds a bonus you do not already have: the same center type at the same level does not stack; different levels of that type can stack.

Treat the capture timer and the fighting rules separately. Level 4 Analysis Center fights can involve troop deaths even when Hospital space is available. Do not borrow another event's recovery rules for this fight.

Choose a Useful Target Before Building Toward It

Analysis Centers grant benefits associated with their type, such as construction, research or gathering. The target panel identifies the bonus and level. A nearby center is not automatically the best target if taking it only duplicates a benefit your alliance already receives.

Make a target record before committing resources:

Field What leadership should record Why it changes the plan
Type and level Exact center identity Determines whether the bonus duplicates an existing one
Displayed benefit Stat and amount Lets members judge its value for current work
Current owner Alliance and likely defenders Helps estimate the fighting commitment
Protection or contest timer Server time and remaining duration Determines when a connected alliance can act
Territory route Towers needed and vulnerable links A broken connection can remove the benefit
Loss rules Especially a Level 4 target Sets the acceptable troop and healing budget

For a developing alliance, compare the benefit with the total tower and defense commitment. Capturing a research bonus that repeatedly loses its connection may deliver less useful uptime than a smaller, sustainable objective.

How Buff Stacking Works

Use the pair type + level, not simply the number of centers owned.

Controlled centers with valid connections Expected stacking behavior
Two of the same type and same level One applicable bonus for that type-level pair
Same type at two different levels The different-level bonuses can add together
Two different types Separate bonuses to their respective stats
A center with an invalid territory connection Ownership alone is insufficient to retain its benefit

For an illustrative calculation, if two different levels of Research Center display +5% and +8%, their combined contribution would be +13%. Two copies of the +5% center at the same level would still provide +5%, not +10%. These figures explain the rule; inspect the actual centers before calculating your alliance's total.

Distinguish the center contribution from Alliance Tech, personal research and temporary state buffs. If your total changes, check each source rather than assuming the center silently upgraded.

Territory Connection and Missing Benefits

Expand from valid alliance territory toward the target. A tower on the map is not necessarily a valid link if its connection or status is broken. After taking a center, check the route again and confirm that the expected benefit appears.

If a buff disappears, investigate in this order:

  1. Is the alliance still the controlling owner?
  2. Is the center connected to valid territory?
  3. Did a key tower become invalid, get destroyed or lose its route?
  4. Is the apparent missing bonus actually a non-stacking duplicate?
  5. Are you viewing an activity where that bonus applies?

Do not assume every normal-state benefit carries into every separate battlefield or cross-state mode. Check that activity's applicable bonus display. Likewise, a center named for vehicles should not be assumed to upgrade the separate War Vehicle system; read the stat it grants.

Capture and Protection Windows

The classic center cycle includes a three-day protection period followed by a 24-hour challenge window. Taking control involves holding the objective through its capture requirement; documented hold times can be up to 30 minutes, with shorter requirements for some centers.

Use the target's live timers to coordinate the attack. Protection ending, the challenge window ending and your occupation requirement finishing are distinct deadlines. Announcing only “center at reset” leaves members unsure which action must happen then.

Assign a rally leader, participating marches and a replacement defense plan before the first attack. Have someone watch the objective timer while someone else watches the territory route. Winning the first battle is insufficient if the holding force is removed before control is secured.

The rally leader and joiner guide explains how to prepare the correct role instead of having every account attempt to lead.

Troop Losses and the Cost of Holding

Read the casualty rule on the target, particularly for Level 4. Hospital capacity is important but does not cancel a mode's explicit killed-troop rules. Lower-risk targets still require room for eligible wounded and a plan for overflow.

Before committing, estimate how many attacks the alliance can absorb while maintaining its other obligations. Include healing resources, members available for reinforcement and whether a later event needs the same troops.

Use the Hospital and Enlistment guide to distinguish wounded, recoverable casualties and permanent losses. Fortress Fight has its own registration and occupation system; familiarity with it does not establish Analysis Center casualty rules.

Rewards and Alliance Priorities

First-control rewards and ongoing ownership benefits are separate reasons to contest a center. Once a first-time reward has been earned, evaluate whether defending that location still justifies its cost.

A smaller account can contribute by maintaining a planned march, following reinforcement timing and identifying a failing connection. It does not need to spend beyond its role to make the objective useful. Leaders should publish the loss budget and stopping condition before the fight, especially when chasing a duplicate center for territorial reasons rather than another stat bonus.

FAQ

Do two Analysis Centers of the same type stack? They can stack if they are different levels. The same type at the same level does not give a second copy of that bonus.

Why did we lose a buff while our alliance still owns the center? Check its valid territory connection. Ownership alone does not guarantee the benefit if the connecting territory becomes invalid.

Can we attack a center without connecting territory? The alliance needs the required valid territory connection. Plan the tower route before the challenge window.

Can troops die at a Level 4 Analysis Center? Yes. These fights can include killed troops even with Hospital room. Read the target's rules before committing.

Are first-control rewards the same as the ongoing buff? No. Treat the one-time reward and the value of sustained connected ownership as separate benefits.

Key Takeaways

  • Check type-level duplication before spending resources on a tower chain.
  • Keep the territory connection valid after the capture.
  • Assign ownership timers, reinforcement duties and a casualty budget before fighting.
