Garrison heroes, with Nikola the benchmark thanks to his tower defence buff. Trish, Zoe, Zach, Ash and Wolfe also see garrison use.

Balanced, around 35/35/30. You don't choose your attacker, so specialising invites a hard counter.

Yes, critically. Wounded troops beyond your hospital capacity die outright, which defeats the point entirely.

Rarely well. Troops are expensive relative to free income and a trap takes damage by design. Rally joining is the better free-account role.

Shield when offline, keep a balanced garrison, and don't push HQ ahead of your troop power.

For a mature account in a coordinated alliance during warfare, yes. For anyone else, no.
