What is Genetic Recombination in State of Survival?

A system that re-rolls a hero's abilities using Gene Catalysts, the blue vials developed by Dr. Yamazaki. Each recombination produces four abilities.

What is the difference between basic and advanced recombination?

They share the same ability pool and differ in drop rates. Advanced guarantees a Rare ability and has significantly better quality odds; basic is cheaper and can miss.

How many Rare abilities can a hero have?

One. Rolling another replaces it, which is why locking matters as soon as you have a Rare worth keeping.

What are the ability qualities?

Common abilities run White, Green, Blue, Purple and Orange. Rare abilities run Blue, Purple and Orange.

How does locking work?

You can lock up to three abilities so they survive a re-roll. Each additional lock raises the cost of that attempt.

What does Auto Recombine do?

It rolls repeatedly until you reach equal or higher power than you started with, or until an Orange ability appears. It will not stop on a downgrade.

Which hero should I recombine first?

Your rally lead. Its skills apply to every joiner's troops, so an ability there reaches further than the same ability elsewhere.

Is it worth it for free-to-play?

On one hero, yes. Across a roster, no. Catalysts behave like fragments: concentrated they matter, spread they vanish.
