What's the difference between march capacity and march slots?

Capacity is troops per march. Slots are how many marches you can run simultaneously. Different stats, different sources.

Stack Headquarters level, capacity research, chief gear, troop buildings, and hero skills. They compound.

Slots early, capacity later. Slots multiply your throughput; capacity multiplies your combat weight.

It rises with Leadership research and account progression. Most active accounts work toward the maximum their state's progression allows.

It affects how much you carry per trip, not how fast you gather. For gathering, more slots beats bigger marches.

Either you don't have enough troops of the type you've selected, or your formation is restricting types. Mix in lower tiers to fill the space.
