How the Event Works
The documented format has stamina-use and gathering tasks, a limited Biocap purchase route, and paid component bundles. The exchange screen has several reward bundles with different prices and purchase limits.
Rewards vary with state development. Treat the task list and exchange inventory currently visible on your account as one package: a task table from one version and a bundle screenshot from another do not produce a reliable shopping plan.
There are four numbers to check before spending: components already owned, components still obtainable from tasks, the target bundle's price, and its remaining exchange count. The event countdown is the deadline for completing that plan.
Discarded Component Tasks
The following is a documented reference format, useful for checking your own task screen:

Those tasks provide 10 components through gameplay, or 25 when all listed Biocap purchases are included. Paid purchases are a separate route. Check whether your task credits stamina spent or enemies defeated; those produce different progress when a hero reduces the cost of an attack.
For gathering, inspect the task counter after one returning march. Do not assume sending troops onto a tile has already credited its entire load. Use the gathering guide to plan marches that return before the event closes.
Work Backward From an Exchange
Use this calculation:
Components to buy = target cost − components owned − achievable free components.
Stop at zero if the result is negative. Check the purchase limit before planning a target larger than your available supply.
For example, suppose your edition offers a bundle costing 4 components, you own 10, and it still allows three exchanges. Two exchanges cost 8; a third needs 2 more components. At 500 Biocaps each, that third exchange costs 1,000 Biocaps. The decision is whether the third bundle's contents are worth that price to your account.
A 50-component target would remain unreachable from zero using only the 25-component allowance above. Do not spend 7,500 Biocaps first and discover the missing half afterward. Existing components or a different edition may change that calculation; paid purchases should enter the budget explicitly.
Compare the Materials, Not the Bundle Name
Open the reward preview and identify each item. A plasma-themed bundle may contain several currencies and ordinary resources. Ordinary Plasma Cores, Polymerized Plasma and later research materials solve different shortages.
If your target is an Institute upgrade, compare the number of usable ordinary cores obtained. If the current blocker is Polymerized Plasma, compare the relevant bundle with the conversion cost in the Purification Center. Do not value an unwanted side item as though you were about to buy it anyway.
For a repeatable comparison, divide the additional Biocap cost by the useful cores gained. That is a budgeting measure, not a universal market price: two players can reasonably choose different bundles because their next upgrades need different materials.
Timing With Other Events
A Biocap-use task in Alliance Throwdown can sometimes overlap with buying components. Accept the task first and verify its counter with a small purchase. Buying components, exchanging them and spending the resulting cores are three separate actions, potentially scored by different tasks.

Avoid treating an older Friday schedule as a fixed appointment for every state. Check the current banner and timer. Also read the component item's carryover text before deliberately leaving a balance for another occurrence.
F2P and Spender Decisions
F2P: finish tasks using stamina and gathering you already need. Buy only the components that complete a worthwhile exchange while preserving your planned Biocap reserve.
Spenders: calculate the entire target before opening a paid bundle. Include its component count, the exchange limit and whether the resulting materials actually finish the intended upgrade. A purchase that stops one bundle short has not completed the plan.
