Part of the Resources Series:

Quick Answer

Build a no-purchase Plasma Core routine around eligible Intel rewards, daily mission crates and Primary Purification, then add the free or Biocap-funded paths in events such as Plasma Lab. Check each reward preview: the presence of an event does not guarantee that every state receives ordinary cores from it.

“Free” means no cash purchase here. Stamina, basic resources, Biocaps and time still have competing uses. A useful collection plan records both what you earn and what you consume.

Check Your Unlocks First

Plasma is tied to state progression as well as your settlement. The established core rollout follows the Reformation state intel milestone. Individual sources can have additional gates: the Purification Center, for example, needs the state's Plasma 6 release and your own HQ 30.

If an older guide shows cores in a crate but your account shows another reward, inspect the current crate rather than repeatedly claiming it in the hope of a hidden drop. Keep growing toward the relevant personal and state unlocks.

Before collecting aggressively, choose the destination: HQ prerequisite, troop building, Institute level or a research node. Raising your core balance is useful only when the next expenditure serves the account's actual plan.

Sources to Check on Your Account

Source What to do Cost or limitation
Infected Intel Prioritise eligible missions whose preview includes cores Stamina, mission availability and expiry
Daily mission crates Reach the required activity and claim the crate Rewards vary with progression
Primary Purification Trade basic resources through the Purification Center Daily attempts and building access
Plasma Lab Earn components, then choose a core exchange Event timer, component supply and exchange limits
Plasma Leakage Inspect the active free tasks and exchange options Event-specific materials and eligibility
SotF, SvS, Throwdown and other events Target attainable rewards that explicitly contain cores Stage rules, alliance participation or ranking
Seasonal stores Exchange earned currency where ordinary cores are listed Competes with other store items; closing deadline

Paid bundles are excluded from the collection plan. A free claim on a paid offer screen can be included only when it actually requires no purchase.

The Daily Loop

At your first login, claim available supplies, inspect Intel reward previews and note the missions closest to expiry. Reserve enough stamina for those core-bearing missions before spending the rest on optional hunts.

During normal play, complete useful daily tasks toward the next mission crate. Claim completed rewards and use Primary Purification if it is available. There is no need to manufacture an expensive healing task merely to move the activity bar if cheaper tasks reach the same crate.

Before logging out, check the next Intel refresh and spend naturally regenerating stamina where it serves your chosen rewards. Keep refill items for a defined shortfall. The stamina guide explains why the Chief and Squad bars cannot be treated as one budget.

This routine should fit your login pattern. Missing an occasional refresh is not a reason to spend money chasing a theoretical daily maximum.

Add Events Without Losing Your Reserve

For Plasma Lab, finish the available component tasks and calculate the smallest additional Biocap purchase that completes your intended exchange. Do not buy a partial path to a bundle you cannot reach.

For development events, compare the extra cores earned with the resources needed to reach the next threshold. Spending 200 cores to earn a 20-core reward can be sensible when the upgrade itself was planned; it is not a 20-core increase in your reserve.

For seasonal exchanges, read the currency, stock and closing timer. In the documented MIGO Strikes Back format, ordinary development materials and prestige rewards sit in different store sections. A balance in one currency does not necessarily buy items in the other.

Estimate Your Income With a Seven-Day Log

Record gross cores earned and cores spent separately. The difference is the net change in your usable reserve. Do not count unopened random rewards at their best possible result.

Day Intel and daily crates Primary Purification Event/store claims Cores spent Net change
Example day 8 7 15 20 +10

Those numbers are an arithmetic example, not a promised drop rate. Over a full week, add the actual columns. Keep one-off rewards separate when forecasting the next week.

If an upgrade needs 500 cores and you have 320, the gap is 180. At a measured recurring net gain of 15 per day, that is roughly 12 days. At 10 per day, it is 18 days. A temporary event can shorten the wait, while conversion or patrol spending can lengthen it.

This forecast is more useful than a universal “cores per day” claim because it includes the sources your state actually has and the number of times you log in.

Why the Balance Still Looks Stuck

Check for spending outside building upgrades. Advanced Purification converts ordinary cores into polymers, and supported Behemoth Patrol options can also consume cores. Neither is free merely because it produces a different reward.

Also check whether a reward is still inside a claim screen or item pack. Distinguish the number of packs from the quantity inside each pack. A selection crate should be opened deliberately after checking its available currencies.

The Purification Center guide shows how to ring-fence ordinary cores before conversion. If the current blocker is a state unlock or Institute prerequisite, more cores alone will not bypass it.

F2P and Spender Tips

F2P: favour repeatable claims and planned upgrades that earn incidental event rewards. Preserve Biocaps when an exchange would delay a more useful recruitment or development goal.

Spenders: establish the same free routine before pricing a purchase. Buy against a measured remaining requirement, including prerequisites, rather than a vague sense that Plasma is always scarce.

Common Mistakes

  • Counting paid reward tracks as free sources.
  • Confusing gross income with the balance left after purification or upgrades.
  • Forecasting every random drop at its maximum.
  • Chasing a leaderboard without costing the next reward.
  • Gathering ordinary resources when the blocked requirement is a core or state gate.

FAQ

Can I get Plasma Cores without spending real money? Yes. Eligible Intel, daily crates, Primary Purification and event paths provide no-purchase routes as your state and account unlock them.

How many free cores can I get each day? There is no single reliable total for every account. Track a week of actual rewards and separate repeatable sources from temporary events.

Does Advanced Purification give me more ordinary cores? No. It spends ordinary cores to produce Polymerized Plasma.

Should I save every core for HQ? Save toward the complete next useful requirement. An Institute or research prerequisite may matter more than the next HQ step.

Key Takeaways

  • Check source eligibility and reward previews before counting income.
  • Build a repeatable routine, then add affordable event rewards.
  • Forecast the net reserve after competing core uses.
