What troop types are in State of Survival?

Infantry, Riders, and Hunters. Infantry beat Riders, Riders beat Hunters, Hunters beat Infantry.

Should I train or upgrade troops?

Upgrade by default. It's more resource-efficient and scores better in events. Train when you need bodies to fill march capacity.

How do I unlock higher troop tiers?

Tiers 1 to 10 unlock on the level of the training building: Barracks, Garage or Range. T6 needs level 16, T7 level 19, T8 level 22, T9 level 26 and T10 level 30. Since those buildings cap at your HQ, tier access tracks HQ level.

How many troop tiers are there in State of Survival?

Twelve. T10 is the last building-gated tier at level 30. T11 comes from Institute of Plasma research and T12 from the Crystal Energy Institute, both researched separately per troop type.

What are the T9 and T10 troops called?

T9 is Maulers, Demon Riders and Nightstalkers. T10 is Executioners, Death Cruisers and Bullseyes. Above those, T11 is Pulse Elites, Pulse Predator and Laser Eyes, and T12 is Crystal Vanguards, Crystal Riders and Crystal Arbalists.

Should I mix troop tiers in a march?

Usually yes. March capacity is the constraint, so filling it with mixed tiers beats a smaller pure high-tier march.

Do troops die permanently?

Most combat wounds rather than kills, and wounded troops heal if you have hospital capacity. Beyond that capacity they're lost.

Which troop type should I specialise in?

None is strongest. Pick one, match your hero investment to it, and keep enough of the others to avoid easy counters.

How do I stop losing troops?

Scout before attacking, keep a balanced garrison, shield when offline during warfare, and maintain hospital capacity.
